Zorrow is the sweetest big boy with beautiful deep eyes who loves to be with his humans and would happily spend all day and night following you around. He’s also very happy relaxing on his own and can regularly be found on his back on his soft and fluffy bed with his legs in the air, snoozing away. After getting used to his new home and yard, he has been fine being left outside on his own while his humans are away.
Zorrow loves playing, especially with toys that squeak. You’ll often find him throwing them in the air and chasing them around. However, he hasn’t shown a huge interest in running around the yard so he doesn’t need a home with a big garden as long as he has a space to pee and a covered area to lounge about while you are away during the day.
Zorrow loves going for walks and car rides, he’s very excited to explore the world and go on an adventure with his humans. He loves water, especially during the warmer months to cool down. He’ll happily lie down in a clam shell pool to chill or frolic about in a river or the sea. He's definitely a people lover and will be happy to say hello to every soul that crosses his way. He is fine around kids but he does have sleep startle so it is important that his new housemates respect his boundaries and don’t touch him when he is sleeping. He is therefore not suited to a home with small children.
Another thing to know about Zorrow is that he has progressive retinal atrophy. This is a non-painful and not treatable (so no extra vet bills or medication needed for this boy) disease affecting his eyes. Because of this he is blind in his right eye. He can still see through his left eye but has limited sight at night in low light conditions. It is expected that over time he will lose sight in this eye as well and become completely blind.
This means we are looking for a special home for Zorrow with people who can give him a stable home, preferably one without stairs. With sight in only one eye, he struggles with depth perception especially going down, and with the chance of him losing his sight at some point, stairs could pose a risk for him going forward. Zorrow is fine around other dogs, just take care because he can’t always see them coming and with his sleep startle can be spooked. Because of that he is probably best living as an only pet with a family that understands his limitations and helps him when out and about.
That said, Zorrow is a very affectionate boy with a zest for life and such a quick learner, he will quickly adapt to his forever home and will bring you so much love and joy!Whats included when you adopt :

✔ Microchipping
