Whether you’d like to make a one-off donation, set up regular giving, or even sponsor one of our “kennel kids,” every contribution helps our greyhounds take the next step toward their forever homes. Sponsoring a kennel kid means you’ll receive monthly updates and photos, so you can see exactly how your support is helping them on their journey. Your generosity allows us to cover all the essentials — from vital vet care like dentals and treatments, to cosy beds, good food, toys and plenty of love before they move into foster or adoptive homes. Donations can be made via PayPal or direct debit, and every dollar goes straight to the care of our hounds. Love a Greyhound is proudly registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

Hennie
Date of Birth: 12th December 2020
Sex: Female
Colour: Black
Our favourite thing about Hennie:
Hennie has a bananas coat — which is fitting, because she’s a little bananas herself! She’ll wait ever so patiently for you to put her coat on or take it off… and then break into joyful, crazy spins the moment it’s done.

Mercedes
Date of Birth: 29th June 2020
Sex: Female
Colour: Fawn
Mercedes is 5 years young and spent the last two years living as a pet before coming into care with Love A Greyhound. During her routine vet work, she unfortunately tested positive for heartworm disease. Mercedes has already started her treatment plan and will remain with us for several months while she recovers and gets ready to find her forever or foster home. She’s a sweet, friendly, affectionate girl with so much love to give.

Rigo
Date of Birth: 8 August 2018
Sex: Male
Colour: Blue
Location: Rockhampton
Rigo is a big, blue-hearted boy looking for his second chance. He’s sweet, a little quirky, and loves nothing more than zoomies, soft beds, and being part of the action — especially if treats are involved.

Dutton
Date of Birth: 24th May 2022
Sex: Male
Colour: Brindle
Dutton is the longest, silliest noodle with the heart of a playful pup. He never made it to the track after breaking two toes as a youngster, but that hasn’t slowed his spirit. While he can be shy and a bit unsure in new situations — sometimes even freezing on walks when faced with a strange surface — a little patience, love, and gentle encouragement will help him find his confidence. Dutton will thrive in a home where his humans are around often to give him the reassurance (and snuggles) he needs.
