Roxy would thrive in a calm, loving home with:
✔ A greyhound sibling (her biggest wish)

✔ Some home often, or a doggy companion
✔ Calm household
✔ Routine driven
✔ Cosy bedding for endless naps

She’s a sensitive, affectionate girl who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included. In return, she’ll give you endless cuddles, quiet companionship, and a heart full of sweetness.

Roxy is a soft, affectionate little sweetheart who has spent the last few weeks blossoming in foster care. She’s the kind of girl who melts into your side, follows you from room to room, and quietly checks in to make sure her humans are still within patting distance. Once she decides you’re kind (and she decides this quickly), she becomes your loyal shadow.

Roxy lived with a family and young children for four years before coming into care, so she already knows all about home life, couches, and the joy of being adored. She’s a gentle soul who can be a little timid at first, but reassurance from her humans—and ideally a calm greyhound sibling—helps her settle beautifully.

Roxy is a certified snuggle professional. She loves curling up beside her foster brother, stretching out on the lounge, or snoozing on her bed next to the human one. She’s easygoing about where she sleeps and enjoys having the bedroom door open so she can wander in and out as she pleases.

She’s not a fan of being left completely alone, but with a doggy companion she copes well and can manage a full workday if needed. She’s happiest in a relaxed home with gentle, kind people and—if she gets her wish—a greyhound brother or sister to keep her company.

Her internal dinner clock is extremely accurate. If 6pm rolls around and dinner hasn’t appeared, she will politely (but firmly) remind you that she is fading away to a shadow.

Roxy is a dream on the lead. She strolls along calmly, sniffing the world and enjoying the scenery. She gets very excited when the lead first comes out—her foster parents describe her as “a bit of a kangaroo”—but she’s learning to settle before heading out the door.

She loves car rides and hops into both small cars and big 4WDs without hesitation. Once inside, she lies down and stays put until arrival. Stairs? No problem. She zooms up and down the six wide steps at her foster home with confidence.

Roxy enjoys gentle walks and quiet outings. Large groups of greyhounds can be a little overwhelming for her, but she’s improving with each walk and appreciates having her own space until she feels comfortable.

She has lived with children aged 5–12 and did beautifully. She hasn’t been tested with cats or other dogs (besides her greyhound foster brother), but she’s shown calm behaviour around her foster family’s parrots—walking past them unfazed while they squawk their opinions.

Roxy arrived needing a dental and had several teeth removed. She’s now healed, comfortable, and eating happily—her foster parents describe her breath as “minty fresh… well, kind of.” She enjoys chewy treats like beef achilles tendons, which help keep her newly polished teeth in great shape.

She’s up to date with her C5 vaccination, ProHeart injection, Nexgard, and Drontal. She’s a good girl at the vet, though she finds it a bit overwhelming and appreciates cuddles for reassurance.

Roxy knows her name and comes when called. She’s working on managing her excitement when the humans come home and when the lead appears. She’s also learning to wait patiently at the door before walks. Calm, kind guidance is the key to her success.
