Peaches is a gentle, shy girl who is still finding her paws in a home environment, and doing so with the sweetest grace. She’s the kind of companion who doesn’t demand attention, but instead softly chooses you. Whether you’re crafting, watching TV, gardening, or reading, Peaches will be right there beside you, happily curled up just soaking in your presence.
While she may be a little reserved at first, Peaches has her own adorable ways of showing joy. One of her cutest quirks? She gets very excited when someone comes home from the gym… expect enthusiastic tail wags like she’s welcoming back a long-lost hero.
Peaches walks beautifully on lead and is an easy companion out and about, though she prefers shorter strolls and is still building confidence around cars and motorbikes. She can be a little unsure around some men, but with patience and kindness, she learns who her safe people are.
At home, she’s a low-key, peaceful presence. She’s currently taken quite the liking to sleeping on her human brother’s bed (clearly a girl of comfort and taste). When left alone for a few hours, she settles well in an undercover outdoor area on her bed, especially with a little help from Adaptil to keep things calm.
Peaches isn’t particularly food-driven and prefers to eat when things are quiet, but she does have her favourites. Cheese is a big winner, along with dehydrated chicken treats, raw chicken necks, and a mix of fresh additions like eggs, sardines, yogurt, and raw meat. She’s also a champion water drinker. Toys, however, haven’t quite impressed her yet — she’s more of a “quiet company over chaos” kind of girl.
One thing Peaches absolutely loves? Other dogs. She’s always happy to meet new friends, whether it’s out on walks, at greyhound gatherings, or when her foster brother’s Labradors come to visit. She enjoys a play but remains gentle and well-mannered.
She travels beautifully in the car, calmly lying on the back seat like the polite passenger she is.
Peaches would thrive in a calm, patient home that will let her continue to build confidence at her own pace. In return, you’ll get a loyal little shadow, a quiet companion, and a heart that, once earned, is entirely yours.
