Honey says NO to:
✖ Being an only dog (she really needs a canine companion)
✖ Long days left alone without stimulation
✖ A low-energy home with little activity
✖ Being expected to be “perfect” straight away
✖ Wet grass… absolutely not
Honey is a beautiful, small brindle girl with a heart as big as her personality — equal parts affectionate cuddlebug and playful little firecracker. She absolutely adores people and wants to be best friends with everyone she meets, greeting you with her signature “helicopter tail” and a face full of joy the second you walk into the room.
In the home, Honey is incredibly loving and thrives on connection. She’ll happily curl up beside you (or her foster greyhound brother) after a big day, soaking up all the pats, scratches, and quiet moments. But don’t be fooled — this girl has a spark. She’s more energetic than your average greyhound and brings a fun, bouncy enthusiasm to life. Mornings start with a walk to burn off that energy, followed by a well-earned snooze… then she’s ready to go again. Think zoomies, squeaky toys, and a whole lot of personality packed into one petite frame.

Honey is incredibly food motivated (meals are her love language), which makes training both fun and rewarding. She enjoys enrichment like snuffle mats, Kongs, and anything that makes her brain tick. Her foster carers have done a wonderful job building her confidence, and while she’s come a long way, she can still be a little sensitive at times and looks to her humans for reassurance when unsure.

Because of this, Honey would absolutely love a home with another confident greyhound to show her the ropes and keep her company. She truly thrives with a doggy friend by her side and settles beautifully when she’s not alone. With a companion, she can be left for a few hours, but she’s not a “set and forget” kind of girl — she’ll need interaction, stimulation, and a family who enjoys being part of her world.
She’s social in a very “greyhound” way — she adores other greyhounds, is polite around other dogs, and has shown she can calmly ignore things like parrots and even geese out and about. She travels beautifully in the car, settles quickly, and is always keen for an adventure.
Honey is still learning the ropes of pet life, including toilet training and managing her excitement (she can get a little jumpy when she’s very happy to see you — which is often). But with consistency, patience, and her eagerness to please, she’s improving every day.
At her core, Honey is just a young dog figuring out the world — full of love, a little bit cheeky, and completely ready to give her whole heart to a family who will guide her, play with her, and let her be both her energetic self and her soft, snuggly self.
