Electric (Ellie) is a bright spark of love and zoomies wrapped up in a gentle, snuggly greyhound. She’s only three years old, but already she’s mastered the art of being the world’s best couch companion. Whether she’s curled up beside you, sneaking in a cheeky paw-shake for treats, or showing off her lightning-fast zoomies, Ellie will light up any home she walks into.

Ellie is the definition of affectionate. She adores human company and loves nothing more than to snuggle up and be close. She’s also playful and silly - toys of any kind are her jam, from squeakers to balls, and she’ll happily parade her favourites around the house. Her goofy personality shines through during zoomies in the yard, where she really lives up to her name – blink and you’ll miss her!

She’s food motivated, smart, and eager to please, which makes training a rewarding experience. She already knows her name, “shake,” and “on your bed,” and is currently working on recall (a must, given her turbo-charged speed).

Ellie is a girl who loves her creature comforts. She’s happiest snoozing on her bed or even the foot of yours, complete with her blanket for extra cosiness. She’s used to being left for up to 4–6 hours, provided she has enrichment like a lick mat and some background TV noise (her foster family says Judge Judy is her go-to binge show).

She’s lived happily with her foster greyhound siblings and has shown she’s a social girl with both dogs and people. She hasn’t been tested with children or cats yet, but around adults and other dogs, she’s a superstar.

Ellie travels beautifully in the car – she’ll happily curl up on the back seat or her bed for longer drives. Stairs are still a little daunting, but she’s making progress with patience and encouragement. She’s not a fan of crates, so her ideal home would give her a comfy bed instead.

She does have a sensitive tummy, so she avoids kangaroo and lamb. Her grooming needs are simple - she loves a warm shower bath with oatmeal and lavender shampoo, and she’s easy to handle.

Daily walks (about 2km in the morning and again in the evening) plus yard zoomies keep her happy and balanced. She thrives with a mix of activity and downtime, and she’ll always be ready for cuddles afterwards.

She’s affectionate, playful, and just a little bit goofy – the perfect blend of speed and snuggles. If you’ve been dreaming of a loyal companion to share your couch, your walks, and your heart with, Electric (Ellie) is your girl.
