Minnie Mouse in the house! Could be your house….
Minnie is a very affectionate little lady who love nothing more than to snuggle up with you on the couch when reading or watching a movie
While still learning her manners and adapting to pet life, she is an attentive and fast learner with food motivation and usually follows prompts as shown by her other greyhound housemates. She still pulls a little on the lead during walks as she is excited by everything new to experience in the world but is slowly settling down.
Minnie is fine on her own when left with enrichment and would be okay with a larger dog but seems to prefer human company. She enjoys her walks, rides in the car, playing with toys and loves a zoomie or two most days.
Minnie occasionally susceptible to sleep startle, she would be best suited to a family with older children.

Little Jane has a tremendous amount of love to offer her new family.
Her favourite place to be is nuzzled next to her humans, or tossing around toys with her foster siblings. Jane loves to greet you at the door with a wagging tail and some kisses, and is always ready for a cuddle and movie.
Jane walks beautifully on the lead. She has the occasional freeze but is fine once she is familiar with the area and her human reminds her that everything is okay.
She’s shown that she prefers to have her human around more often than not. She is a little anxious when left on her own but can be comforted by a sibling. She would love a home with another dog and would make an excellent sister.
Jane hasn’t been tested with little dogs or cats. She is very affectionate towards children.
Jane will be a beautiful family member and can’t wait to meet her forever humans.

Bruce the tiny moose, has won our hearts with his gentle nature and kind soulful eyes. He is a shy, bashful little guy but once you win him over he will show you the funny, rather playful side of himself that will have you in stitches.
Bruce has deemed himself an INDOOR dog. He has been introduced to the finer things in life and has now come to expect it. He will go outside to relieve himself but then stand awkwardly at the door until he is let back in. Even a little bit of rain is beneath him and he will withhold until the skies clear. He is a quiet boy who has a subtleness to him. Given the right circumstances Bruce will make an absolutely amazing loyal companion. Bruce needs a forever home where he will be an active and always involved member of the family as he has deemed himself more than just a lonely family pet.
Sadly, Bruce is a little bit of a slow learner but once he understands the assignment, and with tons of praise, he will never forget it. Bruce is a very gentle boy who needs soft reminders and gentle nudges rather than discipline or harsh corrections.
Bruce AKA Brucey Boy or Bruce Moose will make an amazing addition to any loving family. Currently living with another female greyhound and an active family. Bruce shows no signs of separation anxiety, is house trained and is a stair master.

Hi, I'm Roo, seeking a new home with easy-going housemates. My current housemates describe me as affectionate and inquisitive.
I really enjoy a 30-minute daily walk where I am good on a lead and often more interested in my surroundings than other dogs who I will greet amicably. Afterward, I'm content to rest and keep you company while you work. I am also content to be left alone at home for up to 8 hours, but not every day of a working week. In the afternoons I welcome extra stimulation and the chance to do some zoomies. I really like to go on outings to places like the beach and dog parks. I am relaxed when meeting adults and kids, who can make me happy by petting me and with compliments. I also behave well in trips to Bunnings, fur-friendly cafes and crowded markets but I can get tired afterward from the stimulation of such places.
I'm healthy, well-behaved, and house-trained, with a manageable eye condition called Pannus requiring daily drops. I have good manners indoors, hardly bark, and adapt well to various situations as I’m eager to please, easy to train and already respond to a few learnt commands. I'm very comfortable in a car, fine with stairs (open style, and concrete steps) and calm during a shower. I won't disturb you at night if allowed to sleep inside and have got accustomed to waking about 6:45 in the morning.
I'm a delightful companion with expressive eyes, offering a range of looks from soulful to cheeky. Want
to live with me?

Bluey is the life of the party! This super fun and loving guy is always up for a good time. He’s a pro at playing fetch and can’t resist a game of let me take a sock or two and you chase me!
While you’re at work, Bluey is content to stay home alone as long as he gets his daily dose of adventure with two walks. When you’re home, he’s bursting with excitement, Bluey will have a chat with you and playfully nibble your hand, urging you to grab his favourite toy. He loves to be your shadow, your couch buddy and food detective.
When nature calls, Bluey is a well-trained gentleman who will let you know by heading to the door. And don’t be surprised if he brings a toy back as a token of his successful mission.
Bluey has great manners when it comes to food. He’s not possessive and will gladly give up any treasures he finds, like that sock he couldn’t resist.
Just a heads up, Bluey can be quite energetic and forgets how big he is when he becomes excited. So, he is best suited for families with dog-savvy kids or those who can hold their ground. He gets along great with other greyhounds, even those who are not fond of him. He simply allows them to express their displeasure until they have finished expressing their frustration. He pays little attention to small dogs, but when he sees a dog running on the beach, he gets excited and wants to join in to see who is the fastest!
Perks of Bluey
✨ Not scared of storms or rain
✨ Angel on the lead, minimal pulling
✨ Quick learner
✨ Super soft velvet coat
✨ Dog friendly

Zorrow is the sweetest big boy with beautiful deep eyes who loves to be with his humans and would happily spend all day and night following you around. He’s also very happy relaxing on his own and can regularly be found on his back on his soft and fluffy bed with his legs in the air, snoozing away.
Zorrow loves playing, especially with toys that squeak. You’ll often find him throwing them in the air and chasing them around. However, he hasn’t shown a huge interest in running around the yard so he doesn’t need a home with a garden as long as he has a space to pee during the day, between walks.
Zorrow loves going for walks, he’s very excited to explore the world. He’s definitely a people lover and will be happy to say hello to every soul that crosses his way. The same tends to be true with other dogs most of the time, just take care because he can be a little bit too interested in other dogs one day and totally ignore them the other day. Because of that he needs a family that respect his mood and defends him when out and about.
He’s very affectionate so he would prefer to have a human around more often than not, but he is also confident and could adapt to longer periods on his own.
Zorrow is toilet trained, great in the car, loves pools to chill during summer, absolutely fine with stairs and such a quick learner, he will quickly adapt to his forever home and will bring you so much love and joy!

Meet Kano!
He’s a handsome pup with lots of love to give. He is playful, energetic, confident and very loyal.
Kano is the perfect ‘shadow’ and will follow his human/s around all day long. He’s an absolute snuggle bug and is very affectionate. Kano’s cheeky and curious nature will melt your heart. He has a big strong tail that will wag all day long - be prepared to associate thudding with happiness!
There’s no fooling this handsome boy - he is extremely intelligent and easy to train. In his short time in foster care - Kano has mastered stairs, walking on the lead, peeing outside, you name it!
He’d be perfect for a family that want a dog they can take on their daily adventures - whether it be a trip to the beach or Sunday brunch at a local cafe. Despite being over 2 years old, Kano is very much still in his playful puppy era - so he will need a family that can keep up with his energetic ways!

Morgie is a funny boy who loves a good chest scratch.
He’ll shadow you around the house and is just as happy out in the yard doing his daily boundary sniffari. He’s house trained, overnight trained, and uses a dog door with ease.
He’s excitable when waiting to have his collar & lead put on for a walk, but understands a gentle NO if needed. He walks well on a loose lead and shows no interest in passing dogs. He also loves a few speedy laps around the backyard and then time for a nap.
He’s enjoyed the company of a greyhound sister while in Foster Care and is at ease around small children.

The day I picked Snowy up from his trainer I knew that he wouldn’t be going too far! He’s the most gentle loving boy and has fitted right in with the other hounds.
His favourite things to do are to follow his sister around the garden to see what there is to get up to and squeak squeak squeak those toys He loves a good roll on the fresh green grass.
Snowy loves trying new food, fruits and vegetables and toast or whatever we are having. Toilet training is ongoing but we just love him, he’s so cuddly. He likes to be close to his big brother Isaac at night often snuggling up beside him. I hope we have many good years with this handsome loving boy

Lilly has settled into her new family so well. She has a new best friend in Iris whose calm disposition maintains a peaceful atmosphere indoors. Daily trips to the local dog park are a different story - we meet up with a number of friends and there’s 30 minutes of explosive activity followed by a good lie down. Part of the morning routine is a brush and massage for which Lilly patiently waits her turn on the bench. We are delighted to confirm Bob’s adoption. Bob has fitted beautifully into our doggy pack and loves playing and zooming with his new brothers, Oscar Greyhound and Clarke the Pug cross.
He delights in his twice daily walks and is very curious about the world and all of its wonders - especially all of the non-greyhound puppies we meet on our adventures. He quite enjoys dips in the salt water pool (with us holding him of course), zooming around the house/yard and loves having weekend visitors (more pats for Bob!). He is becoming cuddlier by the day and has found his very favorite spot on the lounge (which is also my husband’s favorite spot so there is a little turf war going on!).

Although I had been wanting a greyhound for about five years, I had decided that I wouldn’t look for a greyhound until the new year, but from the moment I read Riley’s bio on LAG’s Instagram, I knew that she would be the most perfect addition to our family. She has truly lived up to every expectation and more.
We have renamed her Bettina (aka Betty, Bette, Betteswana, Betty Boop, Goose, and more nicknames to come). She loves a cuddle, sardines, and stealing the kids’ toys.
The most impressive trait of Betty’s is her adaptability to any context and how unphased she is with new experiences. She tolerates my best friend’s boisterous staffy beautifully, taught herself to climb stairs, doesn’t stress about going to the vet, and adores my partner’s kids so much to the point where she will have a little cry walking around the house when they’re not here.
She’s been a beautiful presence in our household and we’re so grateful to Yumi for facilitating Bette’s transition to our home and to Susan for loving our girl during the foster period.

Barney is doing very well in his new home. He has adapted quickly to pet life. He is very well-behaved and just the best companion to have aroundthe house. He spends his days sleeping on the couch, sleeping on the bed or sleeping in the sun .
When awake he can do crazy happy jumping circles especially when he sees his humans. He also loves sniffing around his yard.

Baz makes us laugh with his obsession of our shoes, taking them to many places around the yard and his 360 tricks he does when playing with his squeaky toys. He is a 10/10 good boy in our books.
I’d like to thank Baz’s foster family - US! Foster fail!! Definitely not a fail, just a - it’s meant to be moment in time.

Babybel is now the proud daughter to two siblings who live together in Woolloongabba.
Babybel has been approved to be Shani’s emotional support dog and now has a very fancy pink vest that we can wear out of the house. She wakes Shani up every morning with a face full of kisses
Babybel loves going for walks and meeting new people and dogs of all kinds. She loves to chase the other dogs at the dog park, do zoomies around the banana tree in our backyard and loves a swim! After all this she is happy to lounge around the studio while Shani makes art. Her other parent Angel is the fun parent, and their presence sends Bell into “silly mode”.
We are so grateful to have fostered/adopted this precious pooch and our lives have been enriched by her love and kindness.

Scarlet has made our home whole again, we’ve had a quiet house after our elderly dog passed a year ago.

I remember first reading Adele’s adoption profile and thinking, this girl has sass! It definitely made me chuckle. Little did I know, that when we enquired with Love A Greyhound about adopting a second greyhound to complement our calm, chilled out boy that Adele would be suggested to us as a potential match. Fast forward several weeks, and I can confirm that Adele is a sassy one, she makes us laugh on the daily and we love her character and the energy that this firecracker brings to our home! She is very chatty/vocal and can rival her famous namesake in the singing stakes She’s also super smart.
She’s also an absolute sweetheart who is so eager to please, loves snuggles, food and has adapted to pet life so well. Her unsuspecting hound brother Mikey has definitely warmed to her, and is quite happy to let her be the boss.
A big thanks to Yumi for suggesting we meet Adele, to Jo, and to Claire for fostering Adele, introducing her to the good life and for support along the journey.

After losing a dearly loved boy, we needed to find an easy going male who would fit in with our 10 year old female hound, Suzie.
We have a quiet lifestyle and wanted a youngish dog who would let Suzie be the boss, but enjoy playing with her, doing gallops though the house, lying in the sun, and sharing attention from the humans without getting jealous.
Fred is all our dreams come true
He and Suzie do daily fence patrol, and she's shown him which gardens are for dog digging fun. Fred's floppy ears make us laugh when we walk, and he doesn't mind waiting for Suzie who has to stop and smell everything.
At night, if he's not interested in what we're doing, Fred takes himself off to bed and tucks his nose under a blankie. He's very smart, and quick to learn.
We love this big goofy boy!
Thank you to his foster family who taught Fred how to be a pet, and drove him many kms to meet us.
Many thanks to all in LAG for your assistance in finding the perfect companion for us
Thank you Corry and family for fostering Fred

Blast now Pluto
We decided to rename blast when we got him so he could ditch his racing name and start his new life in a loving home.
Everybody meet Pluto ! We chose the name Pluto due to Pluto was Mickey Mouse’s best friend which is what we were hoping would happen with our first greyhound Thea and Pluto. Thankfully it did!
We adopted our first greyhound Thea a few years ago from NSW and she has not been good with other dogs but was whimpering a lot and appeared to be lonely (vet cleared to say nothing was wrong) we reached out to love a greyhound and requested the foster to adopt process due to Thea not being good with other dogs.
We will admit it was touch and go at the start but Pluto the whole time was so patient and friendly and didn’t growl once! Pluto being such a kind natured boy won Thea over and they are best friends.
Pluto now spends his days cuddling his humans, being a lounge cockroach, zoomies with his sister, casual daily walks not to forget lots of treats!
If anyone is considering a foster to adopt process we cannot recommend higher ! The staff from love a greyhound were so helpful and responsive to messages and calls. Big thank you to Marlee from love a greyhound for you support during this process.
